Building a better tomorrow

Equipped to excel

At Sage, we’re determined to innovate faster, identify challenges earlier, and better serve our customers. Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy knocks down barriers to create a workplace where colleagues can feel they belong knowing they’ll never be judged on their identity or background.

Knocking down barriers

Guiding us on our journey to remove barriers is our DEI strategy, centred on these three core principles.

Diverse teams

A range of voices, backgrounds and experiences helps us make balanced decisions that reflect our colleagues, customers and communities.

Inclusive culture

Creating a culture of wellbeing where everyone feels safe, respected and empowered to be themselves, without fear of discrimination or exclusion.

Equity by design

Through data insights, increasing knowledge and DEI centre of excellence support we are equipping leaders to review their projects to build equity into the design.

Where we’re focused

We have six strategic focus areas guiding our DEI work. By remaining intentional about addressing inequity at the intersection of these identities, we have maximum impact.

Disability

Gender

LGBTQ+

Neurodiversity

Race and ethnicity

Social equity

Be uniquely you

Our representation

To better understand our people, we invite our colleagues to complete a self-declaration survey called ‘All About Us’. We use this data in an aggregated way to review our representation against regional population census benchmarks and integrate it within People reporting metrics to review for bias hotspots in our processes.

Gender at Sage

Race and ethnicity at Sage

*We use the term ‘historically under-represented racial and ethnic groups’ to represent our colleagues from Asian, Black, Hispanic/Latin American, Indigenous/First Persons, Middle Eastern/North African, Multiple Ethnic Groups and other racial and ethnic groups. By monitoring our representation levels by each separate identity and aligned to United Nations classifications, it encourages us to challenge systemic biases and work towards a more equitable society for everyone.

Express who you are

Open to everyone at Sage, they provide additional space to connect, share experiences, and highlight challenges. The insights and ideas from these networks drive positive change, making Sage a place where all colleagues can thrive.
